Liquid lipsticks, oh how I truly have a love affair with you. Before I head out the door, I make sure that either my lips and/or eyeliner are done up. I feel as though I can't leave the house if I don't have one of those complete (and a little mascara doesn't hurt). I love trying out new companies and missKhloe K featured Suedeberry on her app as her perfect coral, I knew I just HAD to try Lime Crime.
The key to happiness for me is makeup and more so, liquid lipsticks. Here I go again, rambling on, let's get to the goods. I am sure you want me to get down to business. How are they really like?
Price: $20.00 U.S = $26.23 CAN or sale cost $16.00 U.S = 20.99 Buffy, Bleached & Cashmere are all $26.23 CAN Suedeberry was $20.99 CAN
Quality: I really enjoy the colours they offer, but I do prefer other companies formulas a little more (Kat Von D, Stila, Melted, Kylie Cosmetics...). Although, I am happy with my purchase as I feel these colours are unique even if they are similar to what I have (if that makes any sense). The nudes I found to be more comfortable than Suedeberry, but for its electric colour it is to be expected. I am in LOVE with Suedeberry colouring, and all the colours.
Dryness: My lips were really dry while wearing these to begin with, but I did find the formula to be drying. After 5-6 hours I noticed some crumbing Overall, they lasted relatively long.
Pigmentation: Great pigment, even with Suedeberry. however, if you lick your lips expect crackling and the inner lip line to leave you if you constantly can't leave your lips alone - like me.
Verdict: I like them, not love, but like them a lot. The colours for me are what make me fall for them, the formula a little drying but they do last for a long time. If you are looking for pretty colours and for a dry-er matte, then Lime Crime's Velvetines are for you. If you have super dry lips to begin with, I don't think the formula will sit well with you. Then again, treating your lips with TLC (scrubbing, chapstick, and rest from lipsticks can be sure to alleviat the dryness). Also, if you really like the colours but are afraid if they are too drying, you can always use chapstick beforehand, they just will not stay as long. You can also consider wearing the liquid lipsticks for shorter time periods as opposed to an all day thing with re-application.
When that Suedeberry came and it wasn't half bad on my complexion (so close to being Khloe K)
