Of course gallivanting downtown is one of my favourite past times, and with recommendations from wonderful friends - the trips down are all the more fun. On my list of things to try and do (which I am slowly both adding to and chipping away from) was Her Majesty's Pleasure. Alla and I decided to have ourselves a fun impromptu girls day. We ate at our favourite Cibo Wine Bar, and we noticed just a few doors down was SOMA Chocolate Maker (so we OF COURSE) made a stop there. If you ever go into Cibo, please order the Spring salad (the raspberry balsamic vinegrette is TO DIE FOR). I have mentioned it before, but I definitely recommend getting: the Aranchini (rice balls), Margarita Pizza and the Penne Alla Vodka with panchette...YUM YUM YUM!
Amanda had told me about Her Majesty's Pleasure - and said it would be my sort of place, and she was right. The decor, aesthetics and atmosphere really appealed to me, plus it was a lovely bonus to have a full out bar while enjoying your spa experience. Alla and I both got a manicure.
You all know how much I love to make videos, I am in the process of making a blooper reel & my end of the year montage (which is 30 minutes long so far). I usually start off by collecting all the videos on a platform and then edit...and edit...and edit...and did I mention edit? Besides the point...Her Majesty's Pleasure was really fun. I probably would only go back for a special occasion as it is a little pricey (a general manicure was $48.00 not including tip). Also, I use my hands a lot and my one nail has started to chip! The other's are holding well for post 2 days (my nails always shed polish easily).
Take a look at all the fun below in my first of many Vlog style series (which will change each and every time in terms of style and execution).
