Happy holidays my little Whoville Whos, keep in mind, I just watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
I have been wanting to go to the Christmas Market for the last couple of years, but never found the time. I finally found a companion to accompany me for all the holiday fun and we had an awesome time. That being said, we both worked late so we only got to enjoy the last hour of the market, but it was better then not attending at all. While everyone was bundled up and keeping cozy at home, we frolicked in the snow.
If you go down, you must try the hot apple cider and poutine, those were my two favourites. If you are adventurous, they offer massive sized Turkey legs which look pretty yummy. Other than that, the market is a perfect place for someone who enjoys the little things in life. The fun part for me was observing all the decor, looking at the lights, walking around seeing everyone's smile and looking for some stocking stuffers for loved ones.
If you enjoy artisan hand-made products, the market is just the place to find these gifts. From candles to scarves, jams to spread you can find an assortment of miniature and substantial gifts.
I cannot believe there are only 8 days left until Christmas day (1 week if you include Christmas Eve).
I have picked up most of my gifts and am preparing for Christmas Eve fun. My parents have decided to go away this Christmas which leaves me to see my amazing cousin and goddaughter on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve includes spending it with someone special. We are going to bake cookies, exchange gifts and watch Christmas movies in warm (Christmas inspired) pjs. Which also means we will be finding recipes for baking, cider perhaps even cocoa!
I hope everyone has a magical, safe, a love filled holiday season. It is the most beautiful time of the year. Keep the spirit alive and spend it with those close!
