Today, I FINALLY met up with one of my good friends Taylor (we met in first year University through a mutual friend). Taylor, a recent blogger and I have bonded over the last year while reconnecting through social media. It was my blog and feed which brought Taylor back into my life, our mutual interests and positivity have allowed us to find a foundation and mutual footing to start our future blog journey.
Taylor and I both work as a part time receptionists at different dealerships, we both love Aritzia, blogging, coffee, sushi and taking pictures...instant besstie status?! Ironically, we both love to discuss balance, finding oneself, self love while fully being aware this journey has not ended for ourselves. We discuss the things that we are currently undergoing. We both believe the project of oneself is a life long process. As the quote above stated, we brought our planners and notes to write down the future of blogging between this blonde and brunette duo (you will be seeing this beautiful face quite a bit in 2017). This year, we both want to follow through and execute every deep desire, want, wish, and goal we set for ourselves.
Travel and commitment to self, happiness and my future are high up on my list. Instead of making lists, I hope to cross them off. I have so many things I want to do, I often let them fall through my note memo pad cracks. This year, it all changes. Less words, more action. I prefer to save my money and put it towards travel. Alla and I have been talking about a Contiki trip in August, which we will be looking into in the New Year. I want to see the world with my trusty camera and emerge myself in the present.
"Coffee and plan some future blog ideas?" -- YES!
I sent Taylor roughly 6 places and had asked her to choose, but it seemed as though they all looked pretty great, I went with my instinct to check out Hailed Coffee, and I am so happy we did. Wanting something sweet, you can't beat their chocolate croissant!
It is funny, we only briefly met in first year, we hung out in similar circles, but never really fully connected, until social media brought us together through our extensive similarities, Taylor attributed me as one of the many pushes towards following through with her blog (which I adore). It is temporarily down for the moment for some touch ups. So I will attach her Instagram for now. Check out my favourite balanced, blondie:
