“Poetry is language at its most distilled and most powerful. It is a rhythmical creation of beauty into words. It is the art of uniting pleasure with truth.”
I was debating if I should entitle this entry Soul Food #2, but I wanted to pay tribute to one of my favourite categories on Pinterest dedicated to future poetry buys. I have now made this board a collection of pinned book buys as well. Oh my love of words, prose and poetry!
If you have not read Soul Food, click on the link to see my first review of (my attempt) as a Poetry haul. If you stay tuned till the very end you can note 2 poetry books that I was still waiting on. Both of them came in early November, but I did not get to really read them and/or pay tribute to them until recently. Born to Love, Cursed to Feel can be seen in this entry on my Feed. Whereas Pretty Dirty Minds was only mentioned between conversations with friends (for its raw nature). I have some friends (McKenna, Madison and Caleb) that I thought would have liked some of these provocative poems. As for Caleb, it wasn't so much that I thought he would enjoy it, but more to shock him with the erotic words.
Ps. Caleb bought me the 'Tis The Season Candle from Bath and Bodyworks, and I am obsessed with the spicey notes,,,mmm! I also purchased my first Swell water bottle. I will review it soon, for now I will just stare at its pretty Birch aesthetic (swooning).
I would like to thank Caleb and Rose for my two new additions this Christmas, and myself for purchasing the rest. Caleb bought me Lang Leav's poetry while Rose bought me her favourite, Rumi's works.

Here are a few of excerpts of my favourite pieces from each work:
Beautiful Chaos,Rest in the Mourning & The Universe of Us are my current favourites. Back in November, I couldn't put down Pretty Dirty Mind and as for Rumi's poetry, I want to take another glance at it for the words are meticulous and in need of both an open mind and deep attention.
