If you live in the Toronto area and aspire to be in fashion, to blog, or to change up your look, this entry will help you find some local inspiration.
Of course, inspiration doesn’t come by luck. For me especially, inspiration comes from friends, from muses, from notorious entities on Instagram and in the blogisphere. I also retrieve many outfit inspirations via Pinterest and following my favourite stores on various social media accounts.
Being from Toronto (or more specifically, the Markham area), following individuals who live in my city makes for a well-rounded blog.
I have compiled a list of my favourite local bloggers that have shaped my blog, my outfits and even the many coffee, food, and local events I par-take in. I am thankful for these beautiful women for their style and juxtaposition. A huge thank you and so much love sent your way. I encourage you all to continue what you do, I for one understand the difficulty of keeping up with your passions when there is a million other things on the go. Especially those who have turned their passion into a source of income - that is spectacular and you should be very proud.
My top five bloggers listed below are the ones that really made an everlasting and permanent impression. These babes inspire me to change the layout of my feeds and blogs. Shout out to:
@Cityinstills Her monochromatic layout is what first inspired me to change my IG feed. Although with summer coming, I decided to follow @alysa.lenore in her seasonal concept. However, I still first fell in love with Cityinstills before crossing alysa.lenore. Not only did she inspire my feed, but her posts on positivity and new Toronto finds, keeps me on my toes.
My first follow when transitioning from what my blog was to what it is. In September I revamped my IG and started following amazing people. If you go down my following list, you will see Margaux.zanetti was the first, following miss cityinstills. Nevertheless, I fell in love with her pop of colours and monochromatic themes. I adore white backgrounds because of these select few, and Margeux's outfit/coffee interchange (diamond design) is what made me take the leap and follow her footing. She always has great food finds as well.
OKAY, I adore you! I Tweeted this vivacious babe once and was so happy by her response. Dineandfash was gracious and humble. I love bloggers who have that energy and take the time to reach out to their following, it shows their intentions. I get most of my venture ideas from @dineandfash. She also loves Aritzia too, which makes for a happy Gena because as most of you know - that's my favourite shop.
By far, one of the most stylish girl's on Instagram. After I finish saving up fro my trips, I will go back and see all my emails from Liketoknowit of miss Chloezhaang. Some of the pictures above showcase her style and the outfits I want to try and recreate. My style changes like the wind, but I want to blow in her direction!
Stylish and ready to hit up coffee shops - my kind of girl. I love the way she colourblocks and pulls from neutral pallets. Keep the outfits coming!
If I could extend the top five even more, @thelustlistt would easily make the top. The following 10 bloggers are still of equal caliber. Their style, their warmth and their energy that radiates from their posts, feeds and outfits makes me gasp for air. I love blogging because it is a freedom of personal expression derivative of all your favourite passions. Nothing makes me happier.
Oh, how I wish I could have added her to the top five. I truly love thelustlist. Her fashion sense reminds me of Chloezhaang. I love her looks, her jackets and her affinity for Aritzia. Serious goo goo gaga over her blog & style. SO MUCH INSPO.
@Milamilistic Blogs don't need to have millions of viewers to showcase talent. Some of my favourite people have so much inspiration to offer with just a few followers. Milamilistic shows just that. Keep on showcasing your crisp looks and sharing all your new Toronto finds. I also am going to buy those boots as shown in the second photo and I really want to invest in a pair of jeans with frays at the bottom. Thank you for the inspo baby girl.
She is too cute and her affinity for adventure is filling me with so much wanderlust. I stumbled upon her in the summer and saved a few shoes she had worn because I thought she paired them so well with various outfits. LOVE HER!
Lifestyle, food, coffee, style what more could you ask for? Seeing as she and Cityinstills are friends, I find their blogs to give off a similar vibe - which I love.
@Thatsotee Darling, you are adorable. Recently, Thatsotee went to the the Ice Hotel in Montreal. I cannot wait to try this out eventually. Thank you to this beautiful girl, I have many adventures planed, places to try in Toronto while filling me with some outfit inspiration guides. The second photo I have attached...DEFINITELY recreating.
Hello, hello smooth feed. Check out this doll for her simplistic take on pastels and whites. I adore lifestyle blogging, I want to incorporate Lapetitenoob's ideas into my own blog. I also love her diversity with her passions, much like myself, I feel blogging is so fluid and up for interpretation.
Alla found this chicka and got me hooked. You will only find Toronto hideaways via this page. I in all honesty have saved so many spots because of this page. Alla and I have TOO many dates saved for us try. When I think of Mayachehade, I think best friend time with Alla. Definitely check her page when you want to try something new in the heart of the city.
I love her intricate flay lays and her I don't care attitude. She brings out the courageous side in me. I adore all her Toronto pockets and the way her feed flows but doesn't follow a scheme. Rock it out girlfriend, I love that you drum to your own beat WORK IT. Similarly to one of my fav's @Caraloren.
@Thisrenegadelove I am obsessed with her feed. I love the monochrome, I love the ideas of her blogs and there are so much I can pull from her. She makes me want to die my hair a million and one colours.
Each blogger appeals to a different side of my soul and adds a personal touch I want to add within my blogging. Thankful for all these beautiful women, for their intelligence, creativity, innovation and their words. Keep on inspiring others! I hope one day there will be a girl looking on my page for some sort of inspiration. I hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I did making it. Inspiration is creativity's first stop on the train of creating.
