With Christmas quickly approaching, I wanted to share with you all a few of my favourite items this year. These fan favourites, will make excellent stocking stuffers and/or be the perfect gift for that special someone. Gift guides truly make gifting, that much easier. Seeing as I myself loved perusing through many of my favourite blogger's gift guides, I decided to create one of my own. Down below you will find a little bit of everything for every type of person you have in your life. Anything below is Gena approves and are things I have or would like to have, or even stuff I want to gift especially for the gentleman in my life.
For the purpose of creating a gift guide, I have genderized them. NOW, I personally believe that anyof these gifts could be suited for both genders and not one item is exclusive to "his" or "her". To be honest, I purchased 3 items in the "her" section that I bought for my partner's male side. Moreover, 2 items from the "her" side for my female pals. I am mindful of this and would like to reiterate what I wrote in my Christmas blog last year when I separated gifts by gender. "While I hate gender coding because I don't necessarily agree that lipsticks are only for women or golf balls are only for men, I do so to appeal to the certain person you are shopping for (i.e. looking for last minute gift for Dad, you can search from the (for him) category."
Click the numbers for direct links! Any that I could not find I posted a link to an item that is extremely similar.
Finding gifts for my girls is super easy for me (mostly because I can think of all of the items I would love). But sometimes, we have loves in our life that are hard to shop for. For these special women, I urge you to think back to their passions. What stores do they always seem to shop at? Is there a scent she is always drawn to (6), a funny meme she tags you in (4)? Perhaps she is one of those people who adores little knick knacks (1)or likes creating her own acai bowls (1). Whether she loves her Aritzia leggings (5)or can always be found in aonesie (9), choose items that revolve around her personality. If you know she desperately needs time devoted to herself, give her the gift of a bath bomb soak (7).Anything cozy that is geared towards a holiday theme or the winter season is always a wonderful option. You can never go wrong with an Aritzia sweater (6) at least in my opinion. For the traveller, buy her a scratch map (7) to encourage her wanderlust passions. Gifts are meant to show your sense of thoughtfulness. It doesn't have to break the bank, a gift is a simple way to shower those you love with a sense of adoration.
For that special guy in your life, the ideas above will be sure to coincide with someone in mind. The 'tech' guy can have his eye on portable chargers (4), external harddrives or even a drone (7) if you are able to spend the moula. Even the online create your own book option (6)or putting his favourite movies on a hard drive (2)could take something so simple and turn it into something so meaningful. If he likes sports (6) or a specific team, get him a jersey/engraved mug/plaque/ball. If he is a gamer, look into ones you can play together or at family functions...or even at your next adult approved party (4). If he loves candy (2) or popcorn (7), buy him a specialty brand! Whatever it is that makes him happy - explore it!
I love buying gifts for those I love. It legitimately makes me uncontrollably happy. I went a little crazy this year and thought long and hard about what I would gift everyone. I always keep a record of thoughts and ideas on my iPhone all year long, that way, when it comes down to birthdays and holidays - I have the perfect gift at my fingertips. This year, I made sure each gift or stocking stuffer that I will give out has some sort of sentimental meaning. Truly, those in my life whom I love deeply, deserve much more than I could possibly give them. The little things matter most, pay attention to those instances where your friend, family member, spouse or partner mention their liking for something. Record when they glare at a window store front for a few seconds longer than they would normally. Catalogue anything meaningful (a memory, inside joke, dream or goal) and utilize it when curating gifts. I hope this extensive gift guide helps you find something that your loved one will love!
