My blog caters to all things that make me smile and just like my passions, cafe hopping plasters a permanent smile on my face. This testament is especially true, when said cafe's aesthetics mirror the perfect "Istagramable" aesthetic.
Rooster Coffee House 568 Jarvis St, Toronto, ON
I had seen Rooster Coffee House appear on MANY of my favourite blogger's pages and over the years - I just knew I had to take a friend and head on over at some point in my blog journey. Little did I know, that I would stumble upon a new cafe that would soon become one of my favourites.
Upon arrival my partner in crime, Blessing headed on over to our seat (the iconic Jarvis St. sign). I had been talking about it incessantly in the car after having seen a few bloggers snap it.
Of course I ordered myself an iced-coffee (my latest obsession) and we feasted ourselves on the vegan muffins. I am no vegan - but these were the bomb.com! They tasted as if they had dairy in them (peanut butter and banana muffin and the other being the chocolate chip banana muffin). Both were tasty and consumed within seconds. Can we talk about their latte art! One of the baristas was testing out a few Spring/Easter inspired artworks with this coffee and I had to interject and ask if I could photograph this work of art. It is a BUNNY SWAN! I LOVE BUNNIES! The art is clearly magnificent if I do say so myself - and come on, a BUNNY LATTE. I was filled with so much love!
The duo-tone aesthetics of the cafe itself was something that I had been pining, partly because it mirrors my own feed, but I find this sort of aesthetic for a cafe to be both modern and clean. I feel as though most of my favourite cafes have a similar look - but I LOVE IT.
Even though it is not quite Spring, I decided to opt out my typical dark colour pallet for a neutral pallet outfit (so unlike me). I am usually in all black like Blessing. Although, these pants have me smiling - they fit just right. As opposed to this juxtaposed photo - I bought these pants in the colour "Ashen" although they appear almost like "Nutmeg" in the photo below - it Is just the bathroom's orange overhead lighting. Also, these fit looser - I bought myself the size 6 pant after returning my original purchase (the 8) as they were just too loose.
P.S HOW AMAZING DOES SHE LOOK. I swear her body is my goal! Also, she is such an amazing person. Alongside a few other gems from my program - I am so lucky to have her (and them) in my life. I know they will be life-long friendships that I will cherish from the moment we met at orientation. Sisters for life.
