Local eats? I’m game! If you ever see this title on any one of my blogs and are unsure what I mean by “local”...well, as some background knowledge about this little blogger - I am a Markham city gal! It is always fun finding spots closer to home making commuting much shorter and the eats just shy away from home. I adore going downtown, but sometimes, you just want to stay close to home. I officially started this blog on my FEED but have recently been loving posting on this blog much more. Thus, I have decided to continue the entries on this platform.
On 9th line and highway seven, right before the Shoppers plaza, you will find The Village Ice Cream Shoppe that contains the heart of Kwartha ice creams and specialty sweets. This cute little shop does not skimp on the aesthetics with the most amazing slogan shining in a brilliant neon lighting encapsulating this dessert haven.
6605 York Regional Rd 7, Markham, ON
Alla and I had been talking about trying this 5 minute away from home spot for years, and finally were able to sample some ice cream just yesterday. We will definitely be marking our best friend territory here and absolutely loved our first visit. Not to mention, we are planing many more visits to come. If you or some of your loved ones live in the Markham (or GTA) definitely head on over to this ice cream shop!
